Refund Policy

A Legal Disclaimer

This Refund and Returns Policy governs product returns and refunds for purchases made through the online store bettaqua.gr (the “Store”). By placing an order through the Store, customers agree to the terms set out below.

Products purchased through the Store may be returned in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation and the conditions described in this policy.

Customers purchasing as consumers have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of delivery, without providing justification, unless an exception under applicable law applies. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must notify the Store in writing within the withdrawal period by email at info@bettaqua.gr or through the Store’s contact channels, clearly stating the order number and intention to withdraw.

Refund Policy - The Basics 

Returned items must be sent back without undue delay and no later than fourteen (14) days from the date of withdrawal notice. Products must be returned unused, in their original condition, with all accessories, manuals, and packaging intact, together with proof of purchase. The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning goods unless otherwise agreed or required by law. Refunds are processed after returned products are received and inspected. Refunds are issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. The Store may withhold reimbursement until goods are received or proof of return shipment is provided.
 

Certain products cannot be returned or refunded where permitted by law. These include, but are not limited to, live animals, aquatic plants, perishable goods, goods that deteriorate rapidly, sealed goods that have been opened after delivery and are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons, customized or special-order items, and consumable goods such as opened fish food or water treatment products.

Products damaged due to misuse, improper installation, incorrect aquarium conditions, or failure to follow instructions are not eligible for refund. Normal wear and tear is also excluded.
 

Customers are responsible for inspecting deliveries upon receipt. If products arrive visibly damaged or defective, the customer must notify the Store as soon as possible and preferably within twenty-four (24) hours, providing photographic evidence of the issue. Failure to report delivery damage within a reasonable time may limit available remedies. In cases where a product is confirmed to be defective or incorrectly supplied, the Store may offer replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with consumer protection legislation. The Store reserves the right to request return of the product before issuing a refund or replacement.
 

Orders canceled before shipment are refunded in full. Orders canceled after dispatch may be treated as returns and may be subject to return shipping charges. Refund processing time depends on banking and payment provider procedures and may take several business days after approval. The Store reserves the right to refuse returns or apply partial refunds if returned goods show signs of use, damage, missing parts, or diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish product nature and functionality.
